What it is
A professional tint applied to lashes or brows to darken them. It suits anyone with fair or greying hair whose lashes and brows disappear without make-up.
How it works
The skin around the area is protected and tint is applied and timed to the shade you have chosen. It is a short appointment and among the quickest ways to add definition.

- Holidays and swimming, where mascara is impractical
Suitability is assessed individually at consultation. Some treatments are not appropriate for everyone.
Your treatment journey
- A patch test at least 24 hours in advance.
- Shade chosen and the surrounding skin protected.
- Tint applied and timed.
- Removal and a check that you are happy with the depth.
Results and what to expect
Tint typically lasts four to five weeks on brows and a little less on lashes, fading gradually as hair sheds and regrows.
Safety and common effects
Most people notice some of the following. They are temporary and expected rather than a problem:
- Very slight staining of the surrounding skin, which washes off within a day or two

Common questions
Why do I need a patch test?
Tint can cause an allergic reaction in a small number of people, and reactions near the eye matter. A patch test at least 24 hours in advance is required, and it is not optional.
How long does it take?
The appointment itself is short — usually around twenty minutes.
How dark can it go?
Your practitioner will show you the available shades and recommend one that suits your colouring.
Can I have it with a lift or lamination?
Yes, and tint is usually included in those treatments already.
Will it stain my skin?
Any slight staining fades within a day or two.
