What it is
A classic deep-cleansing facial that clears the surface, softens congestion and leaves skin feeling properly clean rather than stripped. It suits skin that looks dull or blocked and is a good first appointment if you have never had a professional facial.
How it works
Skin is cleansed and gently softened so that congestion lifts more easily. Extractions are done where appropriate, followed by a calming mask and a moisturiser suited to how your skin behaves on the day.
Good fit for
- Skin that looks congested, dull or uneven in texture
- A regular maintenance appointment between stronger treatments
- A first professional facial, including for teens and tweens
Suitability is assessed individually at consultation. Some treatments are not appropriate for everyone.
Your treatment journey
- A short skin assessment and a conversation about your routine.
- Cleansing, softening and gentle extraction where suitable.
- A mask chosen for how your skin is behaving that day.
- Moisturiser, sun protection advice and a simple home routine.
Results and what to expect
Most people notice skin looks fresher and feels smoother straight after the appointment. Congested skin usually responds better to a short course than to a single visit.
Safety and common effects
Most people notice some of the following. They are temporary and expected rather than a problem:
- Temporary redness or warmth for a few hours
- Small marks where extractions were performed
- Occasional short-term breakouts as congestion clears
Before you book. Suitability is assessed individually at consultation. Some treatments are not appropriate for everyone. Tell your practitioner about any medication, skin condition, allergy or recent treatment at consultation rather than on the day.

Common questions
How often should I have one?
Every four to six weeks suits most skins, though your practitioner will suggest a rhythm based on what your skin is doing.
Is it suitable for teenagers?
Yes. There are shorter Tween and Teen versions designed for younger skin, with gentler products and a simpler routine to follow at home.
Will I break out afterwards?
Some people notice a short adjustment period as congestion clears. It usually settles within a week.
Can I wear make-up afterwards?
Best to leave skin bare for the rest of the day, particularly over any extraction points.
Do I need a consultation first?
No. A short assessment happens at the start of the appointment itself.
